1. Provide a supportive educational and social peer group for students at TCNJ who intend to teach special education or for those who are interested in exploring the field of special education.
2. Provide members with a variety of experiences working with and advocating for people with disabilities and by doing so, provide positive social experiences for individuals with disabilities and respite opportunities for their families.
a. Provide positive social experiences for persons with disabilities living in the surrounding communities.
b. Provide preschool play dates for young children with disabilities and their families.
3. Educate the college community at large on issues relevant to the field of special education, including participating in related campus activities such as Autism Awareness Week..
4. Encourage student research and presentations at the National CEC Conference and New Jersey conferences.
