The speech pathology and audiology minor provides the prerequisites to prepare students for graduate study in speech-language pathology or audiology. The program consists of five courses, which the accrediting agency, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), considers essential to students seeking admission to graduate programs in the field. - SLP 108: Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Hearing Mechanism (offered spring semester)
- SLP 205: Acoustic Phonetics (offered fall semester)
- SLP 304: Audiological Assessment and Management of Hearing Loss (offered fall semester)
- SLP 307: Communication Disorders: Nature, Diagnosis, and Treatment (offered spring semester)
Only one course taken as part of a student’s major may be counted toward the student’s minor.
