About the Department
Build the right foundation to teach diverse learners, whether you are an aspiring or an experienced teacher. All of our programs — at the undergraduate, graduate, and certificate levels — provide students with a specialized repertoire of skills and strategies to teach in their area of choice: special education, deaf/hard of hearing, blind/visually impaired, reading, and English as a second language.
P-3 Program
Learn to address special needs in the very young while earning endorsements or a master’s degree.
K-6 Program
Prepare for a variety of career options in special education or typical classrooms at all school levels.
Seamless Study
Coursework and field placements are integrated across the bachelor’s and master’s levels.
