Jennifer Renner Del Nero

Courses Taught: RAL 320/Literacy Learning Across the Curriculum, RAL 220/222/Literacy Strategies, Assessment, and Instruction

Scholarly Interests: Aesthetic literacy, reading pedagogical practices, literacy engagement, the role of popular culture in the classroom, young adult literature, adolescent literacy, curriculum designs, creativity in literacy practices

Achievements: Articles published in The Reading Teacher, Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, and Reading Improvement, presentations at numerous national conferences, served as a literacy coach and teacher in NJ public schools, awarded the Edward Frye Fellowship Award in Literacy from Rutgers University. Currently serves as a board member at the Rock Brook School for Communication Impaired and disabled children in Skillman, NJ. Del Nero is also an active participant in many national literacy associations including ILA (International Literacy Association) where she serves on the editorial review panel annual conference proposals.
